Frans Roselaers has distinguished expertise and experience in a wide range of areas including child rights, child labour and international development and cooperation. He was a former senior UN official having worked as director at the International Labour Office for many years in various capacities, including as Director of the International Programme on the Elimination of Child Labour (IPEC).

As a long term supporter of Plan, including through child sponsorship,  Roselaers has served as board member of the Plan Netherlands and Plan International. He is on the board of Global Campaign for Education, Global March against Child Labour and Foundation for International Research on Working Children. He is also an advisor to KidsRights and International Cocoa Initiative and a member of the Bureau for Organization and Planning at the University of Utrecht.
